For 5 days we shared the music and culture of Korea with the World music of Thailand, Colombia, the USA, Cambodia, China, Cuba. Our original dances, songs and stories were well received by the great people of JeongSeon. Take a look inside!
Day 1 Opening Arirang: an inspiring opening night as Mr. Kim’s dream of World Arirang took nascent form.
Day 2 We played our Rhythm of the Earth songs & stories with dances & laughter from the Siam Youth Ensemble.
Day 3 We took the people of Korea on a trip up the Mekhong River with our brand new Mekhong Delta Blues. It was a personal thrill to see this song take life with music from China, Mongolia, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand’s own Maw Lom.
Day 4 Back to the Beach: Second World-We finished in grand style with our musical journey through the islands of Thailand’s South-Back to the Beach. As we performed Second World to end the show we pulled Korean kids up on stage with their Thai cousins and the senior Arirang Singers joined us. Borderless culture on fire!
